This test is suitable for you to do at home and measures the levels of F.S.H. in a sample of your urine (includes 2 tests). Why do I need this test? The hormone F.S.H. can be raised in women with irregular periods and will steadily rise as a woman gets older. As menopause approaches the levels get particularly high and act as an early warning system. With this test a negative result is going to be good news although its not proof of fertility. A positive test result suggests your fertility is reduced and we recommend that you see your doctor to discuss the results and perhaps have more tests done. When do you use the Test ? The first morning urine is recommended because it contains the highest levels of F.S.H. Testing at any other time of the day may give false negative test results. How do you use the Test? Read all instructions carefully before performing the test. When ready to urinate remove the test stick from the foil pouch. Discard the foil packet. Remove the protective cap from the test stick to expose the absorbent tip. Do not throw the cap away. Hold the test stick by the thumb grip with the exposed absorbent tip pointing downwards and place directly into the urine stream for at least 10 seconds, until it is thoroughly wet. Do not urinate on the control or result window. If you prefer you may urinate into a clean cup then immerse the absorbent tip into the urine for 10-15 seconds. Remove the test from the urine stream and replace the protective cap over the wet absorbent tip. Lay the test stick on a clean, even surface with the viewing windows facing upwards, while you wait for the result. You may notice a pink colour moving across the windows as the test begins to work. Wait five minutes before reading the result. What does the test result look like?                                            Negative                                                         PositiveA negative result is good news although its not proof of fertility.
