Boot was never used. This system is a non-invasive, drug-free device that delivers Monochromatic Infrared Energy (MIRE) through infared light-emitting diodes, with a wavelength of 890 nm, mounted in flexible therapy pads. This light is not visible to the human eye. When the therapy pads are placed in direct contact with the skin, the infrared light is absorbed by cells in the body and blood vessels begin to dilate, resulting in increased circulation in that area. Increased blood circulations stimulates healing and relieves pain. I bought this for my brother who has neuropathy about a year ago and it helped him a lot. He did not use it as often as recommended and finally just quit using it. All the instructions, extra straps, carrying case, and main unit are all there and included.
