This digital air purifier has an easy-to-use remote and a happy/sad face that tells you the air quality and smell in the room. Other functions include a power on/off button, a timer, and a speed setting that can be used with a remote. The BlueAir Digital 250E sensor indicates particle count and degree of smell. Both manual and auto mode speeds are available and are adjustable to one of four levels. For nighttime use, a lower speed would be used. A higher speed would be used for daytime use. Also included is an automatic mode that lets the air purifier select the speed depending on the air quality in the room. The timer function has two modes: a shutdown timer mode and a pre-set timer mode that is adjustable in half-hour intervals. Value-adding features include quiet operation, low energy use, galvanized steel construction, three-stage progressive filter, five-year warranty and easy maintenance: simply open the side, slide out the used filters and drop in the replacements every six months.   The LCD screen display shows the time remaining until the unit shuts off. The pre-set timer mode can only be used with the remote control. Before the unit is switched on, the ON/OFF time and start speed can be selected, otherwise, the start speed will be set on automatic.
