Description
1-866-364-5738 Digital Basal Thermometer - Ovulation Predcitor Our Fairhaven Health Digital Basal Thermometers allow women to easily read their basal body temperature so that they can track ovulation on a fertility chart. Because consistency and accuracy are critical, the digital basal body thermometer offers helpful charting functions, such as memory recall and a peak temperature indicator. Certified accurate to 1/10th of a degree, the digital display reads to 1/100th of a degree (e.g. 97.56)   What is the purpose of taking your basal temperature? Basal temperature shifts can indicate hormonal changes in the body.  A rise in temperature will indicate ovulation, so you can time intercourse better, and increase the chances of conception. By keeping track of your basal body temperature, along with using a basal body temperature chart, you will be able to pinpoint ovulation much better than guessing.   Basal Thermometer vs. Regular When starting to chart your temperature, there are many things that can become very confusing.  I know my first question when I started charting was, "Why can't I use the same old digital thermometer I've been using for years?" I didn't understand the difference between what the basal thermometer told me and my regular one. To me, it was just another thermometer I had to buy. So of course, I started doing research and found out that there is a difference. Basal thermometers are ultra sensitive thermometers that are designed to detect the most minute temperature shift in a woman. The basal temperature is the body temperature of a healthy person upon awakening in the morning. Ideally, basal temperature is taken everyday, at the same time, before arising out of bed. It is important to have at least four hours of resting time in order to get the most accurate reading. Basal thermometers read to the 100th instead of the 10th, like normal digital thermometers. This will show the most minute shift in body temperature, which can indicate hormonal changes in the body. Why should I use digital over glass? Basal thermometers come in both digital and glass.  Glass basal thermometers are accurate but come with many flaws. First, they are hard to read. The last thing I want to do in the morning is wait for my eyes to adjust to be able to view my temperature. Also, glass thermometers break. Before there were digital thermometers, I remember my mother having to replace our thermometer every couple weeks, because someone broke it (again). Digital thermometers are not only durable, they have a few other features that make them more appealing than glass.  Digital thermometers beep when the temperature has been taken, so you know that you have an accurate reading. They also remember your last temperature. If for some reason you forgot to mark it down, you can just go back and check your last temperature. For these reasons I prefer to use a digital basal thermometer over a glass. Only $9.25 Each! Payment & Shipping Details We prefer that you use paypal for all transactions on eBay.
