Description
"Legend of the Corn Sack" As legend has it, in old rural farmhouses, the cold nights were made warmer with a CORN SACK.  During the day, a large pan of shelled corn warmed under the kitchen wood burning stove.  Before bed, Mom would distribute the corn into sacks, one for each family member.  That hot corn sack warmed the bed, feet or back for quite awhile.  Every morning, before breakfast, the corn was returned to the pan under the stove to warm for the next night's use. Description: These corn bag sacks are made of new heavy duty poly-cotton material with printed poly-cotton pillowcases.  Each of these corn sacks is 8" x 16" - a perfect size for shoulders, tummies, knees, elbows, hands, or sore muscles anywhere. These corn bag sacks are larger and heavier than many of the others you'll find for sale, therefore, are more versatile.  No need to buy different sizes for different applications. Directions for Use & Care: Today's microwave makes heating the Corn Sack much easier.  Heat the entire bag on full power for about three minutes.  Some microwaves may take a minute or two longer.  You will soon discover the exact time for your microwave to produce a comfortably hot Corn Sack.  Remember, the Corn Sack may get very hot, and misuse or overheating can cause a burn like any extremely hot object.  Do not use on babies or anyone who can not tell you that the sack is too hot.  If it feels too hot, let it cool a few minutes before using.  They will stay warm for up to 2 hours after heating.  These corn bags are also great if put in the freezer for use as a cold pack.  Freeze at least 2 hours before use, or keep onein the freezer all the time.  Put in a zip-lock plastic bag for storing in the freezer.  Take out of the plastic bag for use.   You may wash your Corn Sack Pillowcase, but do not attempt to wash the Corn Sack itself.  The water will damage the corn.  You may notice a roasted corn scent after extensive use that will, in no way, diminish the usefulness of your Corn Sack.  The Corn will not pop it is not popping corn - but field corn.   Check out my other items!
