This combination helps prevent thrombus formation by increasing venous ejection while producing more shear stress to enhance fibrinolysis. Each VenaFlow System includes a pump with tube assembly (cuffs are sold separately). The pump is designed to operate with any of the three VenaFlow Cuff styles: calf, foot, or thigh - no adjustments required. This universal pump design helps promote compliance, speeds application, and reduces inventory needs. The VenaFlow pump's pressure and inflate/deflate cycle are preset and automatic, with pressures shown on the digital display. Pressure alarms with corrective instructions are also illuminated if the pressure is out of range. A patient counter is included on the display for ease-of-use. The easy-to-apply VenaFlow Cuffs (calf, foot, and thigh) are designed from light, cool, comfortable material to increase patient compliance. Hypoallergenic, the cuffs may be placed directly against the skin. Each cuff style is designed for single patient use only.
